Hello I’m Rachel Beare & I’ll be your Yoga Instructor for the next 6 weeks. Thank you for being the lifeblood of our communities & rescuing so many of us so gracefully all the time. Welcome to your very own Shala (Yoga Studio) at home!
Please remember to have your mat & blanket ready for class & any additional props such as Yoga Bricks, Blocks & Straps that you may have will be helpful too. Welcome onto the online mat with us at The Yoga House
This 6 week Module contains 2 classes per week (12 classes in total) Tuesdays at 11am & Fridays at 9am
Each class will be different so you can get a wide view of the syllabus in our time together.
The Yoga system is excellent for all practitioners, from the absolute beginners to the wise elders and all in between, so don’t worry if you have zero experience of Yoga or indeed if you have lapsed in your Practice,
I am an experienced, fully qualified teacher and my verbal instructions & visual demonstrations are clear & easy to follow. You are in good hands!
Here at The Yoga House, the Practice is traditional, the teachings are from the entire Yoga curriculum ie not just limited to postures but also spanning across breathwork, philosophy, meditation & much more, this is your opportunity to embrace a structured & sublime Physical, Spiritual & Psychological Practice which will bring fortitude, calmness, joy & steadiness, this will help you to greatly reduce stress, anxiety & fatigue in your typical workday.
All our live classes are streamed via Zoom. Please download the Zoom app & make sure you are in an area with good wifi & that your device is charged/charging so you can fully enjoy your Yoga sessions undisturbed. As a rule we don't admit latecomers, this is to avoid disruption, so please be set up & signed into Zoom at least 5 mins early for each class so you don’t miss out & there’s no stress.
I’ll be opening the virtual doors half an hour before the start time of all the Yoga Classes so you have plenty of freedom to sign in whenever you like after that!
You’ll be greeted by a lovely peaceful room to allow for quiet time before class, unless you have pre-class questions, we kindly ask that you mute yourself on entry into the class particularly if your household is a joyful hub of activity! I’ll mute everyone a few mins before start time anyway so that all participants can hear the Yoga instructions clearly, please remain muted until the class is over whereupon we can then chat and I’m always happy to answer any questions.
When in the Zoom app, there are options down the bottom/up in the top right corner of your screen (depending on your device) which allow you to choose ‘Speaker view’ this will ensure that I fill your screen so you get a better illustration of the Asana (Yoga Posture) details! You can also plug your device into your smart TV to unveil superior clarity of detail. In the Zoom app there is a ‘chat’ option which looks like a word bubble, this facilitates private messaging with me if you do not wish to vocalise your request/question publicly. If you enjoy complete anonymity please always feel free to turn off your camera, I respect your privacy & equally well if you’d like me to see you so I can verbally adjust you in your Asanas (Yoga Postures) then leaving the camera on & positioning your mat in relation to your device so I can see your whole self is preferable!
If you cannot attend a class please let me know & I’ll record it for you & send you the link, the links remain active for 10 days so you have time to catch up before the next class, we will progress gently as the weeks go on!
