Enotis
Enotis
The Grecian Retreat
What is Enotis?
(Ενότης in Greek)
The root of the word comes from merging ‘Ena’ (Greek for numerical one) and ‘Otis’ which denotes a perpetual quality of being part of an undivided union/whole.
This is a state of existence in which all of us are intrinsically interlinked & therefore experiencing harmony & togetherness….the pomegranate is a perfect (fruity) example of this concept…many components united as one.
Enotis is a very special 5 night Grecian Retreat held in the heart of the exquisite Peloponnese in Greece. It is a perfect blend of Community, Somatic Release, Yoga, Connection with Nature, Traditional Greek Home-Cooking, Healing, Storytelling, Greek Mythology & Archetypes, Making your own balms & remedies, Spa Treatments, Meditation, Mantra & of course, a Full Moon Ritual! Despina. Beare. Helen.
Despina Lysikatou was born & raised in Athens. From a very young age, she's been fascinated with the human psyche, which led her to obtain a BA & MA in Psychology. For many years, She worked in the corporate world, until she got sick from the stress & the “corporate” way of life. Conventional medicine offered no relief, only pills with more side-effects, which is when she turned to Traditional Medicine. Seeing the benefits in her overall health and mood, she dove in, becoming fully immersed in this world. Over the next few years, She studied Aromatherapy, Massage, Reiki, Hippocratic Medicine, Reflexology, Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture at the ‘Academy of Ancient Greek & Traditional Chinese Medicine’ in Athens. She's been practising all these therapeutic techniques for almost 20 years and she has also been teaching TCM & Aromatherapy for over a decade.
Since covid in 2020, She moved out of the city, into her ancestral land and house in Arcadia, with the desire of living a life that is more balanced and closer to nature!
Beare's role in this collaboration is to help you experience yourself more fully through all your Yogic Practices, she is a senior Yoga Instructor, teaching full time for 21 years & the founder of The Yoga House. As both her personal & Teaching Practices evolve, she continues to refine her skills in communicating the profound & gorgeous guidance from The Source Texts, she leans into the power of Logic & Love in equal measure, encouraging her students to deeply listen to what is appropriate for them within the reassuring & supportive structures of this beautiful Scientific & Spiritual Practice.
Helen Noakes (registered with the YTT as yoga elder) is a Nomadic Yogini and embodied movement and Chavutti Thirumal Massage Teacher. She has been holding classes, seminars, retreats and trainings for 23 years and is inspired by the students of Vanda Scaravelli.
Helen’s aim is to invite a lightness of being and joy to our movement practice and to encourage others to listen and respond to natural inner impulses. This approach encourages the practitioner to create a strong relationship to the ground, the breath and to awakening the spine.
